In a groundbreaking move, Jio Platforms, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries, has unveiled their latest innovation, Jio Brain. This AI platform incorporates machine learning capabilities into telecommunication, corporate networks, and various industrial IT environments without burdening the network or IT infrastructure.
The development of Jio Brain is the result of two years of research and development by hundreds of engineers within the company. Its power lies in providing over 500 REST Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and data APIs for creating services that harness machine learning.
Going beyond advanced capabilities for companies and large-scale operations, Jio Brain empowers the company with cutting-edge artificial intelligence for images, videos, texts, documents, speeches, and integrated AI algorithms.
Moreover, Jio Brain will facilitate the creation of new 5G services, business transformations, network optimization, and pave the way for the development of 6G where machine learning will be a fundamental ability.
“We are open to collaborating with AI/ML researchers who share the same values in creating value and scaling the Jio Brain’s innovation ecosystem,” said Bhatnagar, a representative of the company.
In a strategic move to strengthen India’s position in the global AI market, Reliance Industries had previously announced a partnership with American chip company Nvidia to establish an AI computer infrastructure in the cloud. As part of this collaboration, Nvidia will provide the GH200 Grace Hopper Superchip and Nvidia DGX Cloud service to Jio.
